Animal Taming

Animal Taming is a town macro with an unusually good payoff: patience, soft words, and eventually something wild decides to stay. A tamed companion follows at your heel and lends you its own particular talent while it does. What answers your call, and how often, is something the wilds decide — and finding out is most of the point.

How you train it Start Animal Taming in any town and it works on its own. Your Taming can never climb past your Animal Lore, so study creatures before you presume to charm them.
What you need Animal Tackle, cut from leather at a Tailor's Kit. It wears through with use, so keep a spare.

A companion is at risk until it Bonds at level 3 — die with an unbonded one out and it flees for good. Bonded, it stays with you through anything, and keeps growing to 10.
